Overnight Educational Visits

We believe that an education which extends beyond the classroom enriches a child's understanding and learning. Residential trips develop interpersonal skills, including teamwork, leadership, respect and trust, whilst fostering independence among the children.

The children in Year 3 and 4, stay at the YHA Castleton in Derbyshire and cover alternative educational themes including outward bound, historical or geographical activities.

Years 5 and 6 have visited numerous destinations and benefited from valuable, enriching learning experiences. These have included YHA London Lee Valley, YHA Conwy, Le Château du Broutel and Culmington Manor in Shropshire.

In addition. in the Summer of 2017 Year 2 also took part in their first ever residential trip, a one night stay in Burwardsley, Cheshire.  All the children thoroughly enjoyed this and we hope to repeat it every year.
