No Room at the Inn

Posted on September 30 2016

I know, I know, it is far too early to start even start contemplating anything Christmas related, although we do start thinking about these things very early at school planning for the upcoming nativity performances and Christmas activities. I apologise for the winter themed pun title as it may have caused your blood pressure to rise slightly reading it. I know exactly how that feels as it was with a certain sense of frustration that I noticed the first Christmas display in my local garden centre last week, I kid you not!

No, the title relates to some very exciting news at Forest Park. We enter the new school year with the highest numbers on roll that we have had for over 15 years. In fact we may well reach the highest pupil total in Forest Park’s history this academic year. Aside from Years 5 and 6, we enter the year with every class in the school full. This is a great position to be in and one that is a testament to the excellent teaching and learning that takes place at Forest Park.

Over the last few years the school has worked hard to improve standards and the educational provision on offer at Forest Park. We have also looked to improve links with parents and the wider community and the fact that numbers are as high as they are, reflects that we have been successful in many of our aims. At Forest Park we aspire for all of our children to become confident, secure, caring individuals who achieve personal success and develop a love of learning.

At Forest Park Preparatory School we aim to:

It is clear that these aims are being fulfilled and I am delighted that Forest Park is thriving. Both in numbers and in quality, as the children continue to shine and lead the way with their confidence and outstanding achievements. We start this year with some positive record breaking figures and I am sure we will finish the year in the same vein.
