Carol Service and Nativity

Posted on December 15 2015

What an incredible evening! Monday night’s Nativity and carol concert saw KS1 and KS2 put on an absolute extravaganza of a show for parents and staff.  The cast of (not quite) thousands included mischievous sheep, sleepy shepherds, kings, stars, glorious angels, Mary, Joseph and a certain very famous baby sleeping in manger.

Our Junior choir opened the show with their beautiful singing, which was amplified by the vast St. Mary’s church setting. This was followed up by readings from our very confident Head Girl and House Captain. The entire congregation then sang a lovely rendition of Silent Night, which allowed the KS1 children to take their places for their nativity, ‘The Sleepy Shepherd’.

The children sang their hearts out and performed their parts with gusto. No one forgot their lines or tumbled off the stage, and all finished the night with beaming smiles as they were rewarded with applause from their appreciative audience! Well done to all who took part on the night!
