Last Thursday, the football team played the remaining matches of the Sale & Partington Football League.  The first game was played against The Firs Primary School who were placed joint first with Forest Park in the league.  This, therefore, was a nail-biting, title race for all the supporters but especially for Miss Booth!  Initially, we did go 1-0 down but managed to pull it back to a 1-1 draw.  The final game was against Worthington Road Primary School and this proved to be the deciding match.  Unfortunately, we did go 1-0 down but, again, we came back to equalise.  However, just five minutes before the final whistle, Worthington Road were awarded a penalty.    Tension mounted but Forest Park was extremely lucky to have our own Joe Hart (in the form of Alex from Year 6) who made a spectacular save!  The winning goal was a magnificent header from Bailey in Year 6 during the final ninety seconds.

We have now qualified for “The Champions League” finals, which will be held at Brooklands Primary School in March 2016.

Once again, congratulations to all the boys in the team.  Man of the Match was James Leyland, decided by the football captains.
