Homework Club

Posted on November 04 2016

Homework is integral to success at Forest Park, with all of our students required to fulfil their homework obligations in order to consolidate and extend their learning experience.  All the children receive homework in some form or another and many classes have a school or reading diary to record homework tasks, which also acts as a regular source of dialogue between the school and parents.

To help assist the children in wraparound care with homework tasks, Forest Park introduced a homework club after half term.  Every evening between 3.50 pm and 4.25 pm, children in wraparound care are invited to attend homework club.  Members of staff run these sessions to offer support, to help with homework and classwork, and of course to answer any questions that our pupils have about the subjects they are studying.

"It pushes us a bit more, and helps us improve on our homework, but its also fun!" - Megan & Zainab

It has been a huge success with the children and parents alike.
