ISA Water Polo

Posted on September 30 2016

Forest Park participated in the ISA Water Polo at Middleton Arena on Friday 23 September.

This event is very popular amongst schools as it is challenging but really fun too.  The excitement beforehand from our children was hard to contain as they were desperate to get in the pool and dunk as many children as they could!

Only 2 out of the 13 players had ever played water polo before, so we were unsure of how the morning would go.  We won three games and drew the last game which placed us as runners up of our group and meant that we progressed through to the semi-finals.

It was a wonderful achievement to come fourth place in the whole tournament.

Miss Booth and Mrs Carrasco would like to thank the parents who came along to cheer on the team as we could hear them from poolside!  We would also like to thank the children for their unbelievable behaviour and sportsmanship and always remembering the ‘I Can and I Will’ motto of Forest Park.

Player of the tournament was Tom, Year 6, for scoring some sensational goals!
