During English this half term, we have been looking at a variety of fairy tales including The Gingerbread Man, Snow White and Jack and the Beanstalk.

The children now have a good understanding of characters and settings having had the opportunity to read, retell and write their own fairy tales.  They found it particularly interesting when they were asked to compare different versions of Snow White.

They have also created a wonderful display of their Jack and the Beanstalk work but, obviously, we couldn’t have just one Jack, so we now have twenty!  The children have also written letters to Jack, pretending to be the giant.  I think it is safe to say that we have all thoroughly enjoyed this topic.
