Sal’s Shoes Charity Event

Posted on July 17 2017

On Thursday 13 July 2017 the PTA and our charity co-ordinators had the task of sorting and boxing the children’s donated shoes to send to countries around the world to children who don’t have any shoes.

We collected an astounding 14 boxes of varying sizes and roughly 80kg worth of shoes. We would like to thank those who donated shoes and especially those who taped a £1 coin to the sole. The children enjoyed a day of shoe related activities in class to further develop their awareness of how fortunate we are to have so many shoes we can wear. The shoes will be sent to counties such as Africa, as well as the UK and will make an enormous difference to those children who are unable to afford a pair of shoes.

Thank you very much for your support with our final charity event of the year, the most successful yet!
