Sale Harriers Cross Country

Unfortunately the Sale Harriers Cross Country season has come to an end.  We have had a wonderful season, both with the girls and boys teams with a special mention to Archie from Year 3 who managed to come in the top 10.

I have been overwhelmed by the number of children who have attended this non-compulsory event on a Saturday morning, especially when the weather has been particularly poor.

We look forward to the season starting again next year and we hope the children are as enthusiastic as this year!

Trafford Swimming Finals

The Year 4 & 5 swim teams made us exceptionally proud in the Trafford Swimming Finals a couple of weeks ago.  Each team was pitted against eleven other schools in Trafford, so it was a very competitive meet.

The girls’ team worked extremely hard in their very challenging heat, and should be very proud of their efforts.  The boys once again showed their resilience and were always looking to improve on each round. Congratulations to the boys for placing 5th in the whole of Trafford.

Girls’ Indoor Cricket

Congratulations to the girls who took part in the first cricket tournament of the year.

The competition was run by Sale Cricket Club, who kindly gave the girls a taster session a few weeks ago, which they thoroughly enjoyed.  Since the taster session went so well, the girls decided they would like to take part in a tournament under the coaching of their classmate Tom, who plays cricket for Cheshire.  The girls placed second overall which they should be very proud of.

We hope to continue to build a relationship with Sale Cricket Club and take part in more training sessions and tournaments in the future. Watch this space!
