ISA Regional Swimming Gala and Beech House Swimming Gala

Well done to all the children in Year 4, 5 & 6 who represented Forest Park at the ISA Regional Swimming Gala and the Beech House Swimming Gala.  It was wonderful to see the children cheering and supporting their peers.

Congratulations to the Year 6 girls’ freestyle relay team, who took gold at the ISA Regional Gala (out of 16 competing schools).   Special mention to Ben from Year 4, Megan from Year 5 and Bailey from Year 6 who have qualified to swim at the National Finals at the London Olympic Pool in January 2016.  We wish them the very best of luck and will share their successes at a later date.

We also came away with lots of medals from the Beech House Swimming Gala and came fourth overall, out of eleven schools.

Cross Country

First of all, I would like to thank all the children and parents who turned up on a very cold and wet Saturday morning.

However, this did not dampen their spirits and they represented the school in true Forest Park style.  A special mention has to go to Dr Batra for taking part in the Parent and Teacher race.  As he said, ‘it was a stroll in the park’ compared to the fell run he did the week before!

I look forward to seeing you all this Saturday at 9.45am at Sale Harriers, Crossford Bridge.  Let’s keep our fingers crossed and hope we have no rain, snow or wind!
