It has been a very busy fortnight for our sports teams, starting off with Year 4 and 5 at the Trafford Sports Swimming Gala.  We took a boys and a girls team, who both did exceptionally well. The girls came 4th out of ten schools, just missing out on the Trafford Schools Finals, and the boys team came 2nd, meaning they have qualified for the finals in March.

Congratulations to the Year 5 and 6 children who took part in the Trafford School Games Sports Hall Athletics.  What a wonderful afternoon, enjoyed by all, especially Mrs Bishop on her first school adventure out of the office!  As always the team spirit and peer support was in abundance, as is the Forest Park way.

Finally, last weekend Miss Booth managed the North of England team at the ISA National Swimming Finals at London Olympic Park, which included Bailey, Megan and Ben from Forest Park.  What a fantastic day!  Many thanks to Miss Robinson, Mr Pawson and all the parents who made the trip to support the team.  Bailey won a bronze medal in the Medley Relay, which had to be swum twice due to a technical hitch!  He even had the energy to come back and win a silver medal in the Freestyle Relay.  Ben won a bronze medal in the Freestyle Relay and Megan swam a superb leg in her Freestyle Relay.  Overall, the North came 2nd out of eight regions and we are extremely proud of our talented Forest Park swimmers.
