On Wednesday 10 June we took part in the ISA North Athletics competition at Robins Park, Wigan.

The sun was shining and the team was in great spirits!  They took part in a variety of competitions from running to jumping and throwing.  During the lunch break, it was wonderful to see the teamwork of Year 6 competing in the tug-of-war.  Special mentions go to Cameron (Year 6) and Prithvi (Year 6) for reaching their sprint finals, and to Bailey (Year 5) and Daniel (Year 5) for coming 6th and 8th out of 44 children in the 600m finals.

Once again, well done to all the children for showing their true Forest Park spirit in either competing and supporting.

This weekend, Bailey, Evelyn, Daniel, Maisie and Francesca will be representing Forest Park and the North West in the English Schools Swimming Association’s National Relay Finals at Ponds Forge, Sheffield.

We would like to wish them the best of luck and we will update you with the results in the next newsletter.
