Reception: The Final Frontier

Posted on January 27 2016

This term the Reception children are undertaking a Space project.

Their mission has been to research and learn about various aspects of space, such as: the journey to and from space, life on earth, other planets, stars and life in space.  Suffice to say the Reception classroom has gone completely cosmic!

So far, they have spent time with Year 1 and Year 5, watching both live and recorded programs featuring our very own British astronaut, Tim Peake.  The children were blown away by the launch and also thoroughly enjoyed watching Tim’s first space-walk.

The children have shown great enthusiasm and have been keen to develop their own theories just like real scientists and astronauts.
