Transition from Early Years to Key Stage 1

Posted on July 17 2017

Last week the the Early Years children thoroughly enjoyed their Transition Day.

We welcomed the new Pre-Prep children into school, who settled in extremely well, enjoying our seaside themed activities.  We built sandcastles and explored creatures under the sea!

Reception children all met their new teacher, Miss Taylor.  They also enjoyed a variety of activities, which included dressing up in beach clothes, writing post cards and playing in the beach hut.

The new Early Years children ended their session with a delicious ice extra, with extra sprinkles as it was a special occasion!

Our current Reception class visited their new Year 1 classroom and worked with Miss Robinson, talking about what they will miss in Reception and what they are looking forward to in Year 1.  They finished by making an all about me flower.

Good luck to all the children in their new classes in September.
