Charity Day

Posted on June 24 2016

On the 23rd June 2016, the children took part in yet another successful charity event raising money for 'Water Aid'.

The event began with an informative assembly to help raise the children's awareness of the struggles children in other countries face to access clean water.  They learnt how fortunate they are to live in a country where it takes two minutes to fetch a drink of clean water from a tap.

As part of their sponsored challenge, each class held a sponsored silence with a time chosen by their teachers. Then, they participated in class activities to further enhance their understanding of the issues children are facing.

The children are now very busy collecting all their sponsorship money ready to calculate the total amount raised for this amazing charity and their work.
