On Tuesday 12 May, Forest Park was visited by the staff of the new Sale branch of Explore Learning.

Explore Learning is running a National competition for Young Writers.  Pupils are encouraged to write a 500 word piece entitled ‘Strange Events & Peculiar Happenings.’ The staff were fantastic and motivated the pupils, engaging them in a series of writing activities, including turning a simple sentence into a fascinating sentence and beginning to plan their own story!

The competition is being judged by author, Jonathan Meres, writer of the bestselling children’s books World of Norm. The children have until the 22 May to write their own story.  Judging from what they have planned so far, we can be sure that Forest Park will produce some excellent stories!
