Year 1 & 2 Trip to Tatton

The 1st of December was cold and frosty, perfect weather for our Christmas trip to Tatton!

We wrapped up warm and very excitedly boarded the coach. When we got there we walked down to the farm to see the animals.  The children were thrilled to meet Dancer and Prancer and enjoyed a story about a little elf. After a few Christmas songs the big man himself arrived, and everyone had their photograph taken with him.  The children even received a little gift, after promising to leave a little treat for Santa on Christmas Eve.

After our festive packed lunch, complete with Christmas crackers, we walked down to the mansion.

The mansion was beautifully decorated based around the theme ‘The 12 Days of Christmas’. Each room was spectacularly decorated and the children walked around in awe looking at all the different trees and they spotted lots of little reindeer!

All too soon it was time to head back to school. What a lovely way to start this festive period.
