Year 1 & 6 Trip to The Cheshire Show

Posted on June 30 2017

Year 6 and year 1 were blessed with exceptional weather for the first day of the North West’s premier agricultural event.

We started our day by looking at the various stalls and participating in lots of fun games where we gain a new addition to Forest Park – a giant tiger.

We then headed over to watch the Pony Club children taking part in lots of different races. Then it was time to watch Miss Booth show her prize winning pigs, Billy even took over the commentary and did an excellent job.

After, we daringly went to the sweet stall where most of the children spent their money; we had a quick stop to rehydrate and reapply our sun cream before Year 6 headed off with Mr Tucker to see the fire service and Year 1 went off to do some flower arranging. Year 1 had their lunch watching a dog show before they went to watch the show jumping classes; they then went to see the farm animals and especially enjoyed looking at the unusual birds. Year 1 and Year 6 reunited to head back to school.

The children had a wonderful time and hope to go back again next year.
