Year 1 Class Assembly

Posted on March 23 2016

Bring on the Tony Awards! Year 1 wowed the audience when they performed their version of The Three Little Pigs for their class assembly. Made homeless by an exasperated Mummy Pig, our intrepid porcine friends set out to build homes of their own. Unfortunately, our pigs must have fallen asleep during their science lessons on suitable materials because they insisted on building homes made of wool and paper. Luckily, pig number three recognised the need to build a house using materials with the right properties and managed to fend off our terrifying (yet very bubbly!) Big Bad Wolf!

Our class assembly gave the children the opportunity to apply their learning from the traditional tales literacy unit, along with materials in science and ‘houses and homes’ as part of our wider half-term topic. They impressed the entire school with their assured and mature performance… and they impressed Mrs Hewitt with their incredible feats of memory – all those lines learned in such a short space of time! Well done, Year 1!
