Year 1 Picasso Self-Portraits

We have been very busy in Year 1 this week, creating our self-portraits. As you can see, our pictures don't look exactly like us!

Our inspiration was Pablo Picasso and the focus was on abstract art. We don't see many people in Sale with striped green faces and two noses, so we had lots of fun marvelling at his work. To make our own portraits, we sketched our outlines in pencil and then traced over them in black marker before colouring using bright oil pastels.
