As the final trip of the year, the children had a brilliant time at the wonderful Lowry Theatre.
After visiting the galleries and exploring the paintings and drawings of L.S. Lowry, the children used these as a starting point for ideas for character, movement and narrative. With the support of the professional dancer, the children were given the opportunity to choreograph, and perform, a dance.
The next session gave the children plenty of opportunities to develop and show their drama skills. Again using the images by L.S Lowry, the children were influenced by their surroundings to create stories and make the paintings come to life.
It certainly was a very creative day and all the children had lots of fun.
