What did the Romans ever do for us? Or the Anglo Saxons and Vikings for that matter…

Well, Year 5 endeavoured to enlighten us with their superb assembly this week.  An assembly which gave us a whistle stop tour of the history topic the children have been engaging with this year; Invaders and Settlers!

The children performed some fantastic scenes, learning copious lines and many different roles, accents and even treated us to some performance poetry. They acted with such enthusiasm and offered wonderful entertainment to their parents and the school body.  For all its fun and excitement, it was a wonderful learning experience too; learning lines, confidence building, audience awareness, public speaking, team work, self-esteem enhancing and all the history on the side!  

We are very proud of their achievements.
