Forest Park Congratulate Year 6 2022

Posted on March 21 2022

Once again I would like to congratulate our Year 6 pupils at Forest Park Preparatory School. I am most impressed with the scores and potential that our year 6 children have shown and we can see our children are consistently achieving superb 11+ examination results.

Each year the competition for school places increases and we are lucky enough to have many top independent and state schools in our area that our Forest Park families are able to choose where their child will continue their education.

As headteacher, I am continuously proud of all the children at Forest Park but this year I am particularly proud of the current year 6 achievements and results to date. Our current children of Year 6 have had a lot of lesson disruption from the initial Covid lock-down in 2020 and adapting to learning online, not being around friends and then with further disruption in Year 5 but they have still been able to achieve amazing results for themselves to move onto Year 7 in September 2022.

This year we see 89% of our year 6 children passing for state and independent Grammar School entrance examinations which include Altrincham Grammar School for Girls, Altrincham Grammar School for Boys, Sale Grammar, Urmston Grammar and Stretford Grammar School

In addition, some children have been very successful in gaining passes to Independent Grammar Schools namely Manchester High School for Girls and Stockport Grammar, which remain popular destinations for our leavers.

We do have a number of children also moving on to the high achieving high schools, Ashton on Mersey School, Wellington School and North Cestrian School

Forest Park’s children will be now attending a total of nine schools within the area.

I would like to thank all the children, parents and staff for their contributions to this process as, once again, we are hugely proud of all that has been achieved by Year 6 2022.
