So much to do!

Posted on June 18 2015

As usual on a Sunday evening, I take a fresh look at my calendar and make a ‘to do’ list.  Perhaps it should be called a ‘wish list!’  The second half of the term is always very busy, as the children and staff begin to think the transition to the new academic year.  Year 6 are in the middle of sorting out their leavers’ assembly and Year 5 are poised to deliver their presentations detailing their school official aspirations.  The Year 2 children are particularly excited and looking forward to becoming juniors.

Our ‘move up’ afternoon was a huge success and benefitted from a new format which invited parents for an informal chat and refreshments prior to our meet the teacher evening in September. The children and parents enjoyed meeting Mr Tucker.  We are busy planning our ‘Teddy Bears Picnic’ open event hosted by our own school bear, Fred the Ted.

Practices are underway for our Y1-Y6 Sports Day and invitations have been sent to join an action packed trip around the world on Forest Park Airlines for Grandparents’ Day.

At least I have succeeded in ticking one item off my list – Mrs Bishop will be delighted!
