Pre-Prep and their Year 5 Buddies held a cake sale last week to support Makants Greyhound North West which is based in Tyldesley, Greater Manchester. The charity was founded by Siobhan Happley, and primarily rehome retired greyhounds from all over the country. They rely on voluntary help, support and fundraising to continue their good work.
Mrs Richardson brought one of her rescue greyhounds, Meghan, into school to meet the children. She was very well behaved and enjoyed lots of tickles and cuddles.
Later on in the day the children hosted a cake sale where we raised £155 for the charity.
“A big thank you to Linda Richardson, one of our supporters and adopter of Makants’ hounds Rufus and Meghan, who kindly arranged an event at Forest Park School in Sale which resulted in £155 being raised for our rescue. Many thanks to everyone who took part in this event and to Linda for organising it” – Makants Greyhound Rescue NW
Thank you to everybody who brought in cakes and for your kind donations.
