Charity Event for Child Tumour Trust

Posted on October 14 2016

To ‘kick start’ our charity programme this year, we chose to support a fairly new charity, The Childhood Tumour Trust.

The children and staff were given a clearer insight into the charity, thanks to an assembly hosted by Dr Jim, a trustee of the charity, who was ably assisted by her daughter Ellie.

It was over to the Year 6 children to plan, organise and run the fundraising afternoon, which they did with a huge amount of enthusiasm.

Each House set up eye catching stalls in their House colours where there were exciting and fun activities for everyone to take part in.  All the children got into the spirit of the day by wearing the colours of their House.

As always, Forest Park showed great support and with the proceeds from the ticket sales for the activity afternoon and the additional sale of bracelets and trolley tokens, we have raised an amazing £413.11.

Thank you so much for all your wonderful support.  Particular thanks must go to Year 6 for all of their fantastic hard work that they invested into the activities to make it such a huge success.
