Christmas has come early in the Key Stage 1 bubble.
The classrooms are beautifully decorated and the Christmas crafts have begun. Especially in this year's new highly popular Christmas Craft Club. As we have had such a miserable year we thought it would be nice to have something to look forward to and get in the Christmas spirit, who doesn't love Christmas?
I decided to organise a Christmas craft club where the children can learn lots of new skills and create lots of wonderful Christmas crafts. So far, we have made salt dough Christmas trees, The Grinch Christmas cards, snow globes and floral wreaths made from foliage found in the school grounds.
Over the next few weeks, we are looking forward to making lots of festive food crafts such as melted snowmen and gingerbread stars. The children are having a thoroughly enjoyable time; it brightens everyone’s Wednesday when they can hear us singing away to lots of our favourite Christmas songs.
