Early Years’ Got Rhythm!

Each Monday the children in Early Years enjoy a session with Laura from Rhythm Time Trafford.

Rhythm Time provide music classes to encourage communication and language, physical development and personal, social and emotional development and links to the EYFS curriculum.  They can also be an excellent foundation for children who may want to learn a musical instrument.

This autumn the children will be developing the above skills through various activities in their sessions with Laura.  They will explore dynamics, tempo, rhythm, pulse, pitch, timbre, movement and also ensemble playing using lots of different instruments and even some kitchen utensils!

Remember that Rhythm Time is not a performance oriented class. Your child reacts in a unique way and the outward signs that we see are the only visible part of your child’s development at that point. Much more is going on inside. The children have so much fun in the sessions making music with their classmates, all the while developing key skills - socialising, confidence, listening, speech, co-ordination and creativity to name but a few!
