Pre-Prep’s Wet Welly Wednesday

This half term we have introduced Welly Wednesday to our new Pre-Prep class which will continue into the spring term.

It is a fantastic learning opportunity to explore and investigate the outdoor area, covering all seven areas of learning.

This week the children searched the playground for different shapes.  They did a fantastic job and found squares, rectangles, circles and even a heptagon!

They then focused their attention on using their bodies to make shapes to aid in developing their gross motor skills.

The children had a wonderful time and are looking forward to our upcoming weeks which will include making patterns and sounds out of leaves, using our bodies in lots of ways, introducing mathematical language and much more.

You can see some more photos from this week's Welly Wednesday here.
