Sunshine & Stars

The last couple of terms have been a little unusual due to the situation regarding Covid-19, but we can honestly say that the children who spend time here in Sunshine Club and Little Stars have been exceptional! There have been so many changes that we have all had to adapt to such as different toys, routines and social distancing, and we can honestly say that all the children have dealt with it beautifully, as have the staff!

We now have a different layout within Sunshine Club and Little Stars, which compromises of four large tables with age appropriate toys, colouring equipment, books and craft activities on each. The children are aware of where they can play as the tables are all clearly labelled with their class bubbles, along with the other spaces where they can interact safely with friends.

As winter approaches and the evenings are getting darker earlier, we will be doing lots of crafts and fun indoor activities. As we have a very child centred approach, we love to take suggestions from the children on what they would like to do within wraparound. This is something that the team and I feel works really well, as it involves the children and encourages them to use their imagination and creativity.

We are really looking forward to what the remainder of this term will bring and have no doubt that the children will make it a fun and exciting one!

As always, if you have any queries regarding wraparound please feel free to contact me on
