Manchester City Football Club Visit

Posted on July 13 2016

Manchester City Football Club’s award winning community scheme, City in the Community Foundation (CITC), invited our school to take part in their first ever multi-skills Key Stage 1 fun day at the Manchester Tennis and Football Centre on the Etihad Campus.

The fun day gave 10 children from Year 2 the chance to take part in a variety of net and wall, invasion, striking and fielding games along with creative movement activities delivered by City in the Community coaches.

The children had a great time participating in team games with other children from primary schools from the Greater Manchester area, working co-operatively with children from different environments from their own, learning new skills and playing team games.  They were fortunate to have a mini tour of the Etihad stadium and practised their skills on the main Manchester City training ground.

We were very grateful to the Manchester City sports coaches for providing the Year 2 children with such a wonderful opportunity.
