Manchester City Trophy Visit

Pupils and staff at Forest Park were excited to receive a visit from the Premier League trophy this week.

Representatives from Manchester City Football Club visited the school with the iconic trophy on Thursday 14th February.

The day began with a whole school assembly to talk about Manchester City and its City in the Community programme and allowed pupils to have their first sight of the famous trophy close-up.

Following the assembly, each class from Pre-Prep to Year 6 were then able to have photographs with the trophy to show family and friends.

Forest Park was selected for the visit as it is a part of the Club’s City in the Community primary school programme, in partnership with the Premier League.

Nick Tucker, Headteacher at Forest Park Preparatory School, said: “We are thrilled to have been selected to receive a visit from the Premier League trophy, and hope the visit will inspire our children to develop their skills and ambitions, both on and off the field.”

Pupils at Forest Park receive regular professional coaching from Manchester City’s qualified community coaches as part of the school’s high-quality P.E. curriculum.
