Ready, Steady, Bake!

We would like to thank everyone who baked some wonderful cakes for our cake sale and afternoon tea.  Both events were a great success and you have helped us to raise the fantastic amount of £260 for Make-A-Wish.

Make-A-Wish exists for one reason, to create life-changing wishes to children with life threatening conditions. In 2017, they granted life-changing wishes to 905 seriously ill children, with nearly 300 wishes being granted in the North of England alone.

Hundreds of children turn to the foundation every month to have their One True Wish granted. At any one time, their team of Wishgranters are granting up to 100 wishes each.  A child’s wish is unique only to them and the team work tirelessly to grant a child’s wish in the most life-changing way possible.  The charity has been operating in the UK for 32 years and Make-A-Wish is granting wishes across the world.

Lyndsay Tilston Jones, Regional Fundraising Manager (North West, North Wales, Yorkshire and West Midlands):

“A wish can take anything from a day, to months, to grant. In 2018, our aim is to grant life-changing wishes to 1,400 seriously ill children, but we can only do that with the support of people like you. Thank you so much for the money that you raised in your recent cake sale. This money will go towards helping us to create more life –changing wishes. To find out more about our work, our wishes and how to support us please contact me on 07736155391 lindsay.tjones@makeawish.org.uk

Thank you for your continued support with our charity events, we really appreciate all efforts and donations.
