Young swimmers from Forest Park Prep School have brought home a record 8 medals after competing at a national swimming competition.
The pupils took part in the Independent Schools Association (ISA) National Swimming Competition, which was held at the London Aquatics Centre, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, on Saturday 30th November.
Six pupils from Forest Park were selected to represent the North of England at the event, following qualification through the North Regional Finals.

Samuel L (Year 4)
Silver Medal in the Year 4 Boys Individual Backstroke
Bronze Medal in the Year 4 Boys Individual Freestyle
Bronze Medal in the Year 4 Boys Freestyle Relay
Lily M (Year 4)
Bronze Medal in the Year 4 Girls Individual Backstroke
Amber C (Year 4)
Silver Medal in the Year 4 Girls Freestyle Relay
Georgia C (Year 6)
Bronze Medal in the Year 6 Girls Individual Butterfly
Silver Medal in the Year 6 Girls Freestyle Relay
Silver Medal in the Year 6 Girls Medley Relay
William P (Year 5) and Fabian P (Year 4) swam exceedingly well against tough competition but missed out on a medal.
Amanda Pawson, Manager of the North team, and Year 5 teacher at Forest Park Preparatory School said: “It was amazing to have so many talented swimmers selected to take part in this year’s national championships.”
“All the children were eager to perform well, and through excellent teamwork, enthusiasm and determination, they performed at an outstanding level.”
She added: “I am incredibly proud of the whole team, not only with their swimming achievement but also their teamwork and the support they showed towards each other. It was a fantastic afternoon!"
Swimming forms a key part of the broad Sports curriculum at Forest Park Prep School, with pupils benefiting from weekly lessons. In addition, the school participates in a range of swimming competitions and events each year.
