The Early Years trip to Stockley Farm provided the children with a wealth of learning experiences. However, it was not only an educational trip but one packed with lots of fun-filled activities.
The children experienced a tractor ride around the farm and got to feed the goats with milk bottles. We had two of Father Christmas’ helpers on hand to take us on a journey around the farm to meet the rest of the animals. The children interacted with rabbits, guinea pigs, and Ratty the rat! They learned all about the different breeds and how they are cared for at the farm.
The children also took part in crafty activities including making a Christmas decoration and even got to re-enact the nativity in the farm’s stable. They thoroughly enjoyed dressing up and singing Christmas songs!
The highlight of the trip, however, was visiting Father Christmas’ grotto, where each child got to meet him and tell him what they would like for Christmas. They were lucky enough to receive a gift from the big man too!
All the children were so well behaved and a credit to Forest Park.
