Our science activities this week went down a storm! Each year group had to become a science teacher for the afternoon on Tuesday, presenting a lesson to another year group.
We had to build a house out of different materials that would be hard for the Big Bad Wolf to blow down in Year 1, static experiments in Year 2, Healthy Bodies in Year 3 and Ooblec in Year 4 (that’s Flubber to you and me!). Year 5 were taught about pulse rate by Year 6 and they in turn learnt all about forces from Year 5. A Big thank you to all parents and adults who were willingly dragged in at the end of the day to learn all about the investigations.
On Wednesday, we were treated to an amazingly energetic and tuneful performance of The Big Drip by Quantum Theatre. The children learnt all about changing state and materials in a fun and interactive way.
See you all next term for the maths workshops!
