Last Friday afternoon the Under 11 football team took part in the ISA Knockout Cup quarter finals against The Grange School at Crossford Bridge.
We knew the game would be a challenge, as The Grange School were the reigning champions. As ever the team went out with high spirits and positive attitudes and by half time we were in the lead, 2-1. The team continued the second half of the match with the same positivity and the final score was 3-2 to Forest Park.
This means we have qualified for the finals day which will take place later this term. We are now one of the top four teams in the north, alongside Queen Ethelburga’s, Lady Barn House and Greenbank and we are are looking forward to taking part in our first ever final of the ISA Cup.
Congratulations to all the team with special mentions going to Jesse, Year 3, for two amazing goals and Josh, Year 5, for the winning goal.
Once again we would like to thank the parents for their continued support. We will see you at the next one!
