Sports Successes

It’s been a busy week this week for Cross Country. We started last weekend with the Sale Harriers League at Crossford Bridge.  Well done to all the children who attended as it was a particularly cold and frosty morning.  Special mentions to Archie in Year 5 for being placed 8th and Imogen in Year 5 for being placed 10th.  We hope the next meet on 3 March will be slightly warmer for everyone concerned.  Please come down to support the team.

On Wednesday a selection of children from Year 4-6 took part in the ISA Cross Country Championship at Beech House School. Once again it was a very chilly (and muddy) day.  All the children should be very proud for completing what was a challenging course, including Swamp Valley, Leafy Ledge and Heart Attack Hill, as named by the children.  Apologies to the parents who now have to go shopping for a new pair of trainers as they didn’t quite make it out of Swamp Valley.  As ever, with true Forest Park spirit, the children did not stop to retrieve their shoes but carried on to finish the race with one trainer or in some cases none at all!

Thank you to all the parents for your continued support.

Miss Booth
