Sports Successes

What a busy week we have had in the pool. Three competitions have taken place, The Trafford Swimming qualifier, the Forest School Gala and the ISA National Championships in London.  The children who have competed have done so with true Forest Park spirit and sportsmanship.

Congratulations to the Year 5 and 6 boys’ team for coming 5th out of twelve teams, and the Year 4 and 5 girls’ team for being crowned champions out of twelve teams at the Trafford Gala. They now proceed to the Trafford finals, which will take place on the 28 February. Watch this space to see if they qualify to represent Trafford in the Manchester finals.

Well done also to the whole team for coming third in the Forest School Gala at Altrincham Leisure Centre.

In November three Forest Park children qualified not only to represent Forest Park School but also the North of England in the ISA National Championships at the London Olympic Pool.  It was a fantastic day had by all and congratulations to Ben (Year 6), Vincent (Year 5), and Georgia (Year 4) for winning silver medals in their respective age group in the freestyle relays.  In addition the North of England team were crowned overall champions out of eight regions from across the UK.  What fantastic news to be part of a championship winning team!

Once again thank you very much to all the parents for your continued support and excellent cheering!  I know the children really appreciate it.

In football congratulations go to the Under 11 team for emphatically beating Cransley with a 10-0 win in the first round of the ISA Knockout Cup. We have been drawn against Abbeygate College in the next round so keep an eye on Facebook for the results!
