Last week the Under 11 Football Team played The Grange School in Northwich as part of the U11 ISA Knock-Out Cup.

The team captain, James, gave us an overview of the match.

“The team got up extra early to attend football training sessions at 8am every Wednesday in the run up to the match and were feeling confident.   We arrived at The Grange and saw that their team was a lot bigger than the Forest Park team but we fought on!  Unfortunately, The Grange won 8-0.  Tom from Year 6 was awarded Man of the Match for being the heart of our defence and special mentions go to Yusuf and Surjo who provided lots of saves in goal.  We have progressed so much since the start of the year thanks to our ‘I Can & I Will’ spirit.”

This week the U9 Football at Cransley

The Under 9 Football Team played Cransley School

The team captain, Joshua, had this to say.

“We played really well this week, especially when passing the ball.  We scored lots of goals, giving us a 13-1 win.  Ayan in particular played really well in the net, making quite a few saves of some really powerful goals.   Me and Archie both scored a hatrick with Jesse, Joe and Imogen also scoring for Forest Park.  Thank you to Mr Higinbotham and Mr Pawson for coaching us in our training sessions in the run up to the match.  We’re really looking forward to our next match.”
