We all had a great time at our two performances of The Wizard of Oz at the Garrick Playhouse on Monday 18 June & Tuesday 19 June. Read on to hear about what we thought about the experience.

On Monday morning we arrived at the Garrick at 9am and spent the whole day rehearsing there. This was very helpful as it was the first time practising with lights, costumes, etc. We got used to the theatre environment and enjoyed doing so. We shared the role of Dorothy and we found practising very helpful as we got to watch the other performance at times and share feedback with one another.

Monday night was Lexi’s time to shine and after months of hard work and practise she killed the performance with Jenna as the scarecrow. Then on Tuesday it was Zoe’s opportunity to steal the stage with Tom as scarecrow and she gave it her all.

We loved this experience; it kept us busy and got all the juniors involved, boosting their confidence and performance skills. We would like to thank Mrs Niland for managing to get us the incredible Garrick Theatre and all the staff that helped make it happen! We would also like to give a special mention to Mrs Lloyd-Wilson, Mrs Wainwright and Miss Booth for making this show extra special in our last few weeks at Forest Park!!

We loved it!!
