Spanish Enrichment Day: Y Viva España!
Last Tuesday we celebrated our first ever Spanish Enrichment day at Forest Park Preparatory School and it was a great opportunity for everyone to celebrate Spain as well as the Hispanic culture from around the world.

To celebrate this day, some children dressed in red and yellow, whilst others came as their favourite footballers from Real Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia and even the Spanish national team. We also saw
some great sombreros and a number of flamenco dancers, a bullfighter and even the famous artist Frida Kahlo! The children had some fantastic costumes, so thank you so much for your support they all looked amazing.

The day started with an assembly in which all children sang different Spanish songs and they also danced to some pieces of music, including among others ‘La Macarena’ and ‘La Bamba’. The whole school then participated in different activities throughout the day such as researching and discussing festivals, famous people, places, and they also enjoyed a tasty Spanish themed lunch. Later in the day some children also had a go at flamenco dancing and Zumba in their Spanish lesson!

It was fantastic to see all the children enjoying their activities throughout the day and gaining further insight and understanding around Spanish and Hispanic culture.

¡Gracias a todos!
