Year 2 Topic Work

Year 2 have been very busy sculpting clay owls as part of their topic on nocturnal animals.  Following several cross-curricular sessions linked to The Owl Who Was Afraid of the Dark, the children have relished the opportunity to create their own models of Plop, the main character.

The children have created some excellent art work in class, and what has been particularly pleasing is that no two Plops are exactly alike!

Our final step will be to paint the owls, which the children are very much looking forward to.  Once the project has been completed, Iam sure that they will feel, quite rightly, a huge sense of achievement!
