Year 3 Class Assembly

The Year 3 class have worked so hard in their English lessons to write their own animal chant; it was therefore a fantastic opportunity for them to showcase them in our class assembly.

With performances of familiar nursery rhymes and playground songs, which remind us of the strong beat throughout these tunes, the children then recited The Bug Chant by Tony Mitton, faultlessly.

It was now their turn to recite the wonderful chants they had produced and this they did with huge confidence and conviction.

In music, Mrs Wainwright had worked with the children to make a Samba drumming piece themed around autumn. So with surdo drums being banged, tambourines and agogo bells being beaten, the complicated rhythms of this piece were performed and it was a great (and loud!) way to end our assembly.

A fantastic performance children and in the words of Mr Tucker they were certainly “Loud and proud!”
