Our latest assembly gave Year 3 an opportunity to share with everyone all the interesting facts and information they had recently been learning about in History, covering the Stone Age period. Of course, it also gave them chance to show off their wonderful acting and singing talents.
Through the magic of going back in time, the audience got an insight into the lives of cave dwellers and hunter-gatherers and this explained how survival was the main priority for generations to exist further.
The finale of the assembly was a fantastic performance of a slightly rearranged version of Queen’s rock anthem, ‘We Will Rock You’. The actions (choreographed by Mrs Niland) and the gusto of the children’s singing ensured any woolly mammoth walking by would fear for their lives!
All children performed exceptionally well and they should feel incredibly proud of themselves.
