You Can’t Catch Me!

This week our Pre-Prep and Reception children enjoyed a visit from Minikins Paint a Pot Café in Sale.

Clare from Minikins began by reading the children the story of The Gingerbread Man which they all thoroughly enjoyed.  They then had the chance to decorate their very own gingerbread man using all the fine motor skills learnt in class.  The children had lots of imagination when painting their colourful gingerbread men and showed wonderful concentration to complete the activity.

Pottery painting is a fun and therapeutic activity for every child regardless of their ability.  It is very relaxing and they are rewarded with a beautiful keepsake at the end.  Clare will return the finished gingerbread men to school in the next couple of weeks, a lovely gift in time for Christmas!

If you would like to enjoy this activity at home Minikin are offering at home kits during lockdown.  You can find these on the shop section of their website here.  In addition, their Hatch continues to be open to enjoy one of our tasty treats!

You can see some more photos from the visit here.
