Meet Our Head Boy and Head Girl!

This year at Forest Park, one of our key themes is developing future leaders, giving our children opportunities to build confidence, take responsibility, listen to others and develop the skills they need to make a positive difference.

We are therefore delighted to introduce our fantastic Year 6 Head Girl, Mia, and Head Boy, Arlo.

🎨 Meet Mia, our Head Girl

Mia is a creative, caring and enthusiastic young leader who is excited about helping to move our school forward this year. She loves cats, baking and art, and her favourite subjects include History, Art, PE and English.

Mia is looking forward to representing the children of our school, listening to their ideas and helping to make sure pupil voice is at the heart of school life. We know her creativity, enthusiasm and thoughtful approach will make her a wonderful role model for others.

⚽ Meet Arlo, our Head Boy

Arlo is a hugely enthusiastic and sporty young leader who loves football, rugby and swimming. He also enjoys representing Forest Patk and taking part in lots of different sports. His favourite subjects are Maths and PE.

Arlo is excited about his new leadership role and is keen to represent our pupils, encourage others and play an active part in making our school an even better place to learn and grow.

Together, Mia and Arlo have an important role to play.

Our pupil leaders will have opportunities to develop their communication, teamwork, responsibility, problem-solving and decision-making skills, while listening to the ideas and views of their fellow pupils.

We want our children to understand that leadership isn’t about having a title, it’s about making a difference, helping others and having the confidence to make positive contributions.

We are incredibly proud of Mia and Arlo and can’t wait to see how they grow into their roles throughout the year.

✨ Exploring Ourselves ✨

Our Pre-Prep have been exploring what makes each of us unique! 🪞💛 We spent time looking closely at ourselves in the mirror, talking about our individual features and noticing what makes us special.

We then had a go at sketching our own self-portraits, carefully thinking about the details we could see, before proudly having a go at writing our names. ✏️🖍️

We’ll revisit this activity in the Spring and Summer terms, giving us the opportunity to compare our self-portraits and see how our ideas, confidence and skills develop as we grow and learn. 🌱

🏆 ISA NORTH JOINT CHAMPIONS! 🏆

What an incredible day for our Under 11 Water Polo team at Forest Park! 🤽‍♂️🤽‍♀️

Our team travelled to the ISA North Water Polo Championships and produced an absolutely fantastic performance from start to finish, winning every single match before drawing the final!

That result means our brilliant team have been crowned JOINT CHAMPIONS of the North of England! 🥇🥇

To see a small school from Manchester competing against schools from across the North of England and finishing joint 1st in the Independent Schools Association North Championships is a truly remarkable achievement.

The skill, determination, teamwork and sportsmanship shown by every member of the squad was outstanding. We couldn’t be prouder of this fantastic group of young athletes.

A huge congratulations to all the players, you represented Forest Park brilliantly and have created a very special sporting memory.
